About Us

Homophones are words that sound the same when pronounced but have different meanings, spellings, or both. They can create playful wordplay and add depth to poetry, writing, or storytelling. Homophones add layers of meaning and can make your writing more engaging and clever, especially in rhymes, puns, or poetry. For example, writing “The principal’s principles” uses the homophones principal (school leader) and principle (a rule or belief) to create a meaningful connection while keeping the sound consistent. It’s such a unique and meaningful project – using homophones and rhymes to teach life lessons!

About the Author

Meredith Davison, Jr.’s parents and grandparents instilled many life principles to him and his two siblings throughout their childhood. These, and others from his wife Denise, were passed down to their six children, all of whom were homeschooled. The idea for this book was to put these principles down in written form, using rhyme and homophones as a fun way to teach them to children, while helping grow their vocabulary. Meredith and Denise enjoy traveling and spending time with their children and thirteen grandchildren.
